Kuler Colors

pjohnson's picture

I have always found it difficult to come up with colors that matched right and slick in my experiences with creating site designs. Why can't there be an easier way, without having to study too much into color theory and all that?

Well, I found a site where one can accomplish a fantasy such as that.

The site is called Kuler from adobe.

It's a web ap! Yay! Flash at it's best. It's similar to other color choosers out there, but with this one the user can visually see where the colors are on the color wheel and as the user rotates one of the color circles it finds other colors and moves the other circles to positions based on whatever style the user is looking for.

Pretty nifty, eh? GO NUTS!

Nice tool

Nice tool

I think i'm missing

I think i'm missing something, because i can't find a way to actually get the rgb or hex for the colors of a scheme you've selected. and since the whole thing is in flash, you can't use color-picker utilities like colorzilla.

I reverted to colorcombos.com, but kuler seems more populated.

You can. After you select

You can.

After you select a theme/scheme you like click the rainbow colored man and then the numerical values are below under each color. Those values are editable and copy and paste enabled as well.

I'll post a picture of the button to press later. Drupal doesn't allow uploading :P

now it does.

now it does.
