Motor

Motor type: Brushless·Source: listed

LifeSpan TR5000Pro GlowUp specs table lists "4.5 HP Peak Brushless Motor" (LifeSpan accessed 2026-02-06). Earlier TR5000B Pro manual also specifies "4.5HP(Peak BLDC)" (ManualsLib).

Price

Amazon B0BMMC4NST is back in stock and buyable as of 2026-08-03 (re-measured: HTTP 200, page renders B0BMMC4NST, add-to-cart present, no bot wall). It had been Currently Unavailable as of 2026-04-28 ("We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock") - last shown $1,299.00 on 2026-04-24, down from $1,899 prior. LifeSpan brand site remains a reliable purchase path; may have separate pricing tiers for B2B commercial buyers.

Horsepower

Horsepower: 4.5 HP

Held at 4.5 — the TR5000B Pro manual for this exact SKU says "4.5HP(Peak BLDC)". LifeSpan's brand page has since drifted to "5.0 HP Peak Brushless Motor" (LifeSpan accessed 2026-08-08) for the same unchanged machine, which is itself reason to read the brand's peak numbers as soft. Either figure is peak, not continuous — see the continuous-horsepower section.

Unverifiable, so left blank (2026-08-08). The circulating "3.0 HP Continuous Duty DC" is the legacy TR5000B's owner's-manual figure — a 64"-long base with a 20"×50" belt, not the Pro GlowUp we sell (TreadmillDoctor repeats it from there). Our SKU's own sources publish no continuous rating at all: the TR5000B Pro manual says "4.5HP(Peak BLDC)" and the brand page says "5.0 HP Peak Brushless Motor", with the word "continuous" appearing nowhere on it (fetched 2026-08-08). That page also states "Requires a 115V NEMA 5-15 Non GFI Circuit" — a 15A circuit, on which 3.0 CHP would draw ~23A, so the legacy figure would not survive here even if it belonged to this machine (see /walk/guide/motor). TreadmillDoctor's measured 1.2A average (high 1.7A, low 0.7A) is ~138W at 115V, under 0.3 HP delivered. The honest bound is ≤1.5 (unverified).

Released

I'm overriding this attribute because Lifespan is a "buy it for life" brand, age isn't a factor.

Shock

6 Independent Compression Shocks with 0.7" (18mm) Phenolic Deck and heavier duty belt. Premium multi-zone cushioning system designed for commercial use.

Model

LifeSpan are commercial-grade - built to last decades, found in coworking spaces, beloved by the walking-desk community. Check Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Offerup, or Nextdoor first. Most buyers think they'll stick with a walking desk but don't, so durable used LifeSpans show up regularly at a fraction of retail - you could save hundreds. The "wedding gifts" category: blenders, bread makers, treadmill desks.

The top-tier commercial-grade treadmill from LifeSpan, designed for intensive daily use in professional environments. This is their flagship model with the highest durability and weight capacity. Premium commercial-grade construction designed for 9 hours of daily use, more than the TR1000 and TR1200.

Pro: Commercial use

I've seen Lifespans in coworking spaces often (I've used them there too, they're so smooth, quiet... incredible machines. Huge though). If these are picked for industrial use by someone in charge of this task, instead of iMovR, that's enough for me to blind-faith the same selection.

Pro: Highest max weight capacity

400 pounds capacity is significantly higher than most competitors and even other LifeSpan models.

Pro: Recommended for 9 hours daily use

Designed for extended daily use (9 hours vs 6 hours for TR1000/TR1200), indicating superior durability.

Pro: Premium quality

As LifeSpan's flagship model, offers the highest quality components and durability in their lineup.

Very expensive

$2200 price point is significantly higher than consumer models and even other LifeSpan models.

Very large size

At 63" length, larger dimensions may be challenging for home office setups.

Model Number

SKU TR5000PRO-SC130 from brand's Shopify JSON. Amazon title uses TR5000-SC130. ManualsLib references TR5000B Pro Glow-Up as internal designation.

Lacks incline. Sports medicine recommends 3% for knee health. Why it matters + workaround.

Motor analysis
  • Brushless motor: confirmed (brand page + TR5000B Pro manual "4.5HP Peak BLDC")
  • CHP: 3.0 HP from TreadmillDoctor/WorkWhileWalking for GlowUp variant
  • Peak: 4.5 HP from brand page for Pro GlowUp variant
  • The 3.0 CHP figure is from the standard GlowUp (DC motor); the Pro GlowUp uses a brushless motor. CHP for the Pro not separately published.
  • TreadmillDoctor: avg 1.2A, high 1.7A, low 0.7A
Why the 3.0 CHP figure does not apply
  • The 3.0 CHP is not a "standard GlowUp variant" figure — it is the legacy TR5000B in the shared TR800B/TR1000B/TR1200B/TR5000B owner's manual (p.5: "Drive Motor 3.0 HP Continuous Duty", 20"×50" belt, 64" L). Our SKU is the 48.43"-belt, 60.63"-long Pro.
  • Neither of our SKU's own sources publishes a continuous figure: manual "4.5HP(Peak BLDC)", brand page "5.0 HP Peak Brushless Motor" (drifted up from 4.5), zero occurrences of "continuous" on the page.
  • The brand page requires a 115V NEMA 5-15 (15A) circuit; 3.0 CHP needs ~23A at 85% efficiency. Measured draw is 1.2A avg ≈ 138W.
Brand trust (2026-02-10)
  • BBB: A+ rating, 34 complaints (7 in last 12 months), not accredited. Velocity 0.21 - not accelerating.
  • Trustpilot: 2.2/5 (14 reviews, 79% 1-star). Motor failures, unresponsive support, months-long waits.
  • BBB customer reviews: 1.0/5 (6 reviews). Aligns with Trustpilot.
  • Key patterns: bent frames, rattling motors, delayed refunds, slow warranty resolution.
  • The A+ BBB rating reflects complaint resolution process, not customer satisfaction.
Retail and pricing check (2026-02-10)
  • Amazon seller type: third-party - sold by LifeSpanFitness only. CCC confirms was Amazon-direct until ~2024, now 3P-only.
  • List price: $1,899 - matches current selling price. No MSRP inflation. Historical range: $1,599 (3P low, Oct 2025) to $2,299 (3P high, launch Feb 2023).
  • Walmart: listing exists (walmart.com/ip/14070573356) but ZERO ratings. Not on Target or Best Buy.
